Newly Erected 50ft. Flag Pole Dedication Off Hwy 441 Near McRea - Helena

Our 50ft flagpole in Augusta that had to be moved due to the sale of the property has found a new home at a highly visible plot off Hwy 441.

The pole had to be retrofitted by adding a base plate to the pole. Thanks to Division Adjutant Hawkins and his crew that moved the pole from Augusta and 7th Brigade Commander Chris May for retrofitting the pole.

Then both the Montgomery County Sharpshooters SCV Camp #2164 and Pine Barrens Vols. SCV Camp #2039 pulled together donations and manpower to construct the formwork and pour the concrete base.

The flagpole was erected on Saturday, March 18, and is flying an 8 ft X 12ft Battle Flag.

Below is the information for the dedication ceremony. Job well done!
