In Memory of Lt. Division Commander North, George J. Crawford

Brothers, I have some sad news to report. Last Sunday morning our Lt. Division Commander George J. Crawford passed away from a massive heart attack. Friends found him this past Tuesday morning at his home. George was a good friend and one of the finest Confederates I have ever known. He loved the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Mechanized Cavalry. Serving as our Lt. Division Commander was one of his greatest honors and he was my Stonewall Jackson. George was from the old school a true history buff and a collector/appraiser of Antique firearms. He will be greatly missed. Below are the final arrangements:

• George has been transferred to Fox and Weeks Funeral Home in Savannah. Escorted from Griffin to Savannah by the Mechanized Cavalry.
• The viewing will be at Fox and Weeks on 12/13 at 6 pm.
• The funeral will be at the Blessed Sacrament Church on 12/14 at 10 am.

George's obituary will be posted as soon as it is available.
